To mark this special occasion, everyone is invited to celebrate the long, proud history of the Fort William Gardens on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Watermain Repair to Impact Memorial Avenue TrafficFebruary 24, 2026 – Drivers should expect some traffic delays on Memorial Avenue in the Harbour Expressway area on Wednesday, as City crews perform watermain repair work.
One of Memorial’s southbound lanes will be closed between the Harbour Expressway and Dunlop Street starting at 12:30am Wednesday morning.
The City of Thunder Bay Declares Homelessness a Humanitarian CrisisFebruary 18, 2026 – Following Council’s approval on February 17, the City of Thunder Bay has officially declared homelessness a humanitarian crisis in our community. This decision builds on a shared commitment and reflects ongoing collaboration with Anemki Wajiw (Fort William First Nation), and Nishnawbe Aski Nation.
City Advises Caution on Roads with Winter Storm Warning in EffectWith a winter storm warning in effect, the City of Thunder Bay is urging motorists to use extra caution as road crews work to keep local streets clear.
To help ensure everyone’s safety, the City encourages drivers to follow safe winter driving tips:
• Reduce your speed and drive with care
• Increase your following distance to allow more time to stop
• Stay patient and avoid sudden maneuvers
• Remain alert for pedestrians and cyclists who may be harder to see in poor weatherDrivers are reminded to observe.

The Pool 6 property represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape Thunder Bay’s waterfront, building on the success of Prince Arthur’s Landing.
