  • City Announces Winter Fundays Activities

    December 7, 2017 - The City of Thunder Bay has announced the activity schedule for this year's Winter Fundays at Prince Arthur's Landing presented by Rock 94 and CKPR. The family-friendly activities start on New Year's Eve with a skating party and run every Sunday until March 11, 2018.

  • City Roads Crews Continue to Clear Snow During Winter Storm

    December 5, 2017 - The City's Roads Section is working hard to manage winter control conditions; however, residents are asked to take precautions when driving today.

    Road crews started plowing arterial and collector streets at 5 am this morning and will continue to address these roadways throughout the day.

  • Calendar Parking Restrictions Now in Effect (1)

    December 5, 2017 - Due to weather conditions, city-wide calendar parking restrictions have come into effect today. 

    "The implementation of calendar parking restrictions for this winter is based on the recent snowfall," said Jonathan Paske, Supervisor - Parking Authority.

    December 5, 2017 - Due to current weather conditions, there have been power outages at several City facilities resulting in closures.

    The Canada Games Complex, 55 Plus Centre and Ogden Child Care Centre have been closed.

  • City Does Not Endorse Door-to-door Sales for Utilities

    November 24, 2017 - Recently, residents have been receiving home visits from businesses trying to sell water filtration systems, hot water tanks, furnaces, air conditioning units, and utility contracts such as the purchase of electricity and gas. 

    "While the City provides licenses to these companies that go door-to-door, we do not in any way endorse what they are selling or how they sell it," said James Coady, Manager of Licensing and Enforcement.
